Outcomes
The student will be able to
- master the basic concepts of circular economy
- understand the limited scope of resources
- know the most important business models of circular economy
- understand how circular economy links to own field of studies
- know how to allocate resources for tasks to be done, and to take into account the objectives set by supervisor or client
- construct a concise and informative presentation

Target audience
Undergraduate students with at least two years completed of Bachelor’s studies in any field.
Methods
Lectures, group work, project work, report, presentations, company /field visits.
Some of the company & field visits require a bus trip with Föli (https://www.foli.fi/en). Please note that you need to cover the bus expenses and similar small costs yourself.
Student workload
Pre-task 15 h, lectures, company visits and mentoring 60 h, project work in groups 50 h, individual work 10 h = 135 h i.e. 5 ects.
Assessment
- Pre-task on pass/fail basis.
- Project work in groups on scale 0-5 (0=fail-5=excellent) (60% of the grade)
- Individual work: on scale 0-5 (0=fail-5=excellent) (40% of the grade)
Assessment criteria
- Pre-task: Depth of discussion.
- Group work: Creativity, Critical thinking, Initiative and Teamwork skills
- Individual work: Depth of discussion.
